While the composition varies from series to series, it can be said that the filler and wrapper made from Nicaraguan tobacco are characteristic of La Aromas, including »Edición Especial«. However, the series are significantly different in terms of their wrapper. For »Edición Especial«, José »Pepin« García, in coordination with the Levins, chose a golden binder harvested in the volcanic landscape of Ecuador—until then, a novelty even for an old hand like Pepin.
The No. 5 impressed the experts from Cigar Aficionado magazine with its wonderful smoke, bursting with spice, coffee, and cocoa notes. It earned the Belicoso the fourth spot in the Top 25 ranking in 2008. Additionally, we detected enticing notes of roasted almonds and leather. These cigars are virtually unmatched in intensity.
