After more than a quarter-century of experience in producing Dominican cigars, Ashton ventured into new territory: the world of Nicaraguan cigars. In 2007, the Levin family launched the »Paradiso« brand, crafted by José »Pepin« García at his factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. In the early 2000s, the Levin and García families met, and the Levins were impressed by Pepin’s passion for tobacco and his talent for creating top-quality cigars.
This led to a partnership that allowed the Levin family to collaborate with Pepin, who had been rolling cigars since he was eleven years old and had built an impressive career as a celebrated cigar maker for many renowned brands.
With Pepin’s support, the project took shape, leading to the creation of the first prototypes of Paradiso cigars. By 2007, the cigars were market-ready, captivating aficionados and critics alike. The Paradiso line represented a significant achievement for the Levins in collaboration with Pepin, proving that new paths are worth exploring.
The fillers and binders of Paradiso cigars come from tobaccos that thrive in Nicaragua’s volcanic soils. Various wrappers from Ecuador further enhance the aroma of the different series. Over the course of two to three years, the tobacco is repeatedly fermented and aged, allowing the distinctive complexity of Paradiso to shine through.
The cigars achieve perfection in a cedar-lined aging room, where they rest and allow the flavors of the tobacco blend to unite.
All Paradiso cigars share a striking band and box design, making them an eye-catching addition to any humidor.
