The name »Grand Reserve« draws an analogy to the prestigious quality seal in the wine world, which is reserved for wines that undergo an extended maturation in oak barrels. Similarly, the cigars in this series are made from a selection of aged tobaccos that Rocky exclusively reserves for the »Grand Reserve« and are only available outside of the United States.
The packaging is also worth mentioning: The 10-count boxes feature an elegant pearlescent sheen and a quilted surface, giving them a refined and visually appealing look.
With this, Rocky is offering his fellow countrymen a true treat for the palate. The Grand Reserve Toro was able to impress the jury of the prestigious Cigar Journal and was crowned Cigar of the Year 2018. In the justification, it is stated: »For the blend, which remains a closely guarded secret, Rocky Patel reached deep into his treasure chest and used some of his oldest tobaccos. After production, the cigars were aged for an additional two years in the Aging Room. The super-creamy cigar delivers a delicate sweetness of dried fruit and chocolate, subtle bitter notes of tea, as well as wood, leather, and nut flavors. Caffè Latte and herbal spice are just the finishing touch.«
